OSX Mavericks

22 October... barely a week left!
I just hope it comes out on time for download...
The OSX Mavericks

The good: (There is really no 'the bad' section... I haven't used it yet!)
1. Tags. Really great if you have a huge junk of files you do not even know about. Its a really easy to get organised using this feature. I'm surely gonna use it.

2. Multiple Screens. Thumbs up if you have an Apple TV, would work quiet well hopefully (haven't got hands on it yet ;P)

But really... this is just the beginning!
Check out the advanced features:
1. App Nap. I personally find it the most interesting, innovative and practical feature of this OSX. It basically puts all the apps that are running in the background (that are not displayed on screen) into a low power and performance requirement, making the Mac much more responsive on the working app. It is said to save battery as well (obviously!)

2. Compressed Memory. Another feature which compresses RAM usage of apps when there is a requirement of extra memory. Perfect if you have a slow Mac.

3. Safari Power Saving. You can turn on extra plugin's and add ons on safari as per requirement, reducing the usage of CPU and memory... making the Mac faster.

There are many more features... check 'em on Apple's website - http://www.apple.com/osx/preview/advanced-technologies.html

Looking foreword to this version of the OSX... its already in its final Gold Master stage for the developers. There is reportedly an update 10.9.1 soon after its public release. Probably bug fixes.

And obviously waiting for the new iPad's and the next generation of Macs(October 22)... If Apple gets it right, it will rule the world!
More coverage on that soon.

Siri's pronunciation training

Something new about Siri on iOS 7...
You can teach Siri how to pronounce names which it couldn't do earlier correctly!
All you have to say is "Learn how to pronounce [contact's name]" and well, there you go... Siri will take you through a simple procedure where you pronounce the name correctly! And Siri learns it...

This is a really good improvement by Apple, it takes robotic voices to a new level!

Hello guys!

If any one has noticed... AppStore now provides apps for older iDevices, by downloading older versions of the app.

Anyways, WhatsApp has removed support for older iDevices - so even though you can download it from the AppStore now, it wouldn't work!!!

I've tried enough hacks for making WhatsApp on iPhone 3G iOS 4.2.1 work, but have been very unsuccessful..... Bad luck!

So, what did I do to get WhatsApp on my Mac - well simply download BlueStacks App Player (PC+Mac) http://www.bluestacks.com and it will work like heaven! You can get all your Android Apps onto it, and it worked flawlessly for me.

Continue following me - I have lots more to tell all of you...

Hello guys!

Lots of stuff happening in the smartphone world....
1. iOS 7 is out, and it an amazing upgrade! The only problem most users will consider would be the battery life's of their iDevices. Amazing graphics and performance, and the multitasking is really cool. Now apple users can finally multitask well.

2. New iPhones have started to ship.

3. The IFA in Germany has showcased so damn many amazing devices, especially how TV's are evolving.

4. A new, innovative idea about phones. Please do check out their site and their video-

I will come back soon, I have exams on.... Enjoy!

Finally got iOS 7, great update....
Quiet cool stuff in there... Anyways, not a big deal for me- I'd used iOS 7 beta versions before it even came out. But it is great now!

New iPhones

So... we now have the two new iPhones.
The event was extremely short and fast, and in barely 1.5 hours, the phones were out.

The iPhone 5C is not any major phone- its the exact same iPhone 5 in an all plastic body. And it surely isn't cheap... $550 (unlocked, US store) for only the 16 gigs.
Not a very surprising phone at all.

On the other hand, the iPhone 5S - unbelievable stuff in there! The A7 processor, 40x the performance of the first ever iPhone. Along with it, the M7 processor, meant for all sorts of sensors.
But here it the best part - fingerprint scanner! Really? Apple did it, guys!
The iPhone 5S home button is actually a fingerprint scanner - better known as Touch ID sensor...
You can unlock your iPhone, buy stuff from the app store, all with a touch of the home button.
Great job, Apple.
But all this again comes with a heavy price - $649 16gigs US Store unlocked. Still, its not exactly a value for money phone.

But again, Apple has its high standard - and I love it!

Okay, iOS 7 coming out on 18th September. I've tried iOS 7 before, and it is actually great.

Looking forward to the iPads, and the extremely unbelievable Mac Pro. And if any possibility - an iWatch, or iGame, or iTV. Lots of stuff wanted from Apple.

Have a good day!

Hey!

A lot of news has been coming in about technology...
Some top stories-
1. Sony is to be releasing a phone which can record 4K HD videos..
2. A lot more new 4K TV's are in the market- from LG, Samsung and Sony.
3. Samsung's galaxy gear smart watch, another product category sure to grow in the next few years.

And...
Tomorrow's the Day! Apple's new iPhone are coming out soon. Looking forward to it.
Hope we get ios 7 and OSX 10.9 Mavericks upgrade in the following week.

BTW, WhatsApp is actually free on the app store... good job! But you will need to pay for it after a year (its just $0.99 per year subscription after one free year)

Have a great week ahed!

Have any idea about metroon?
It is just another excellent dreamboard theme must have for all iPhone users (it works best on iPhone 3GS and later...). You can find it on the Cydia store.
This theme introduces windows 8 on your iPhone/iPad/iPod touch. Excellent in terms of the interface, the design and most importantly the way the apps are arranged.

Learn more about it on

Okay jailbroken iPhone owners,

Did you know multifl0w?
Anyways, multifl0w is an addon from cydia which brings the ios 7 multitasking looks to all iPhones, including iPhone 1st and 2nd gen.

If you want to get the 'swipe up to close' feature, change your multifl0w theme to cards in its settings.

Go ahead and check it out...
Well, I'm back after a good night's sleep...

Before we go ahead, I would like to share some news....
Walmart is selling iDevices at a rollback price, I.e. you will get a $50 discount on the iPhones and the iPads you buy.
Good chance to buy it at a discounted rate.

By the way, looks like Samsung is up to something - the Galaxy Note 3 is coming out!
Samsung is just driving people nuts by releasing a hell number of products.... How do you choose from it??

Anyways, I'll be back soon...
Okay... first topic - upcoming iPhone...

iPhone - my favourite smartphone ever, nothing can make me go against Apple.

September 10th, badly waiting for it. Another apple event, as revolutionary as ever.
And have you heard of it - iPhone 5C is coming! It is basically a cheap iPhone, about $300-$400.
The 'C' in 5C actually stands for colour, coz this iPhone is going to come out in 6 to 8 colours, just like the iPod touch.

So, why is it cheap? Well, it just has a plastic body (as leaked). All other features are said to be of the current iPhone 5.

This iPhone is surely creating a lot of buzz around on the internet.
Do check out the latest leaked pictures... and of course the video-
